New plugin for ICM+® that enables non-invasive calculation of ICP from TCD, FV and ABP signals in real time!
A PROCEDURE OF NON-INVASIVE ASSESSMENT OF INTRACRANIAL PRESSURE
Development: Bernhard Schmidt, Juergen Klingelhoefer, Marek Czosnyka.
Software Realization and Integration: Bernhard Schmidt, Ronny Plontke, Peter Smielewski.
*Protected by Patent: DE 19600983
How it works:
From measured FV and ABP signals sets of parameters, called TCD characteristics, are computed. Using our specific procedure algorithm from TCD characteristics the impulse response function is generated. The impulse response function transforms the ABP signal into the target signal, the nICP signal. (FV blood Flow Velocity assessed by TCD in the middle cerebral artery, TCD TransCranial Doppler ultrasonography, ABP Arterial Blood Pressure, nICP non-invasive IntraCranial Pressure).
