The workshop offered a hands-on sessions about Multi-Modal-Monitoring. There were 3 sessions of 2 hours each where the participants were able to interact with the software in the first person.
Multi-Modal Monitoring Stream
This stream was entirely dedicated to the exploration of ICM+ as a Multi-Modal Monitoring system capable of both collecting clinical data, but also a powerful analysis tool that can greatly facilitate the work of researchers without them needing advanced data analysis, programming and signal processing backgrounds.
In the first session of this stream, the participants were allowed to interact directly with medical devices and were asked to configure a data collection session in ICM+. In this scenario the participants were exposed to one of the most common, and often misunderstood, usages of the software.
The second Session was dedicated to the essentials of data handling. In here the participants were guided by exercises and performed some basic tasks necessary to build a dataset suitable for analysis, like removing artifacts and building simple analysis profiles.
Finally on the third section the participants were again guided by tailor-made exercises dedicated to analysing batches of data, data exporting to be processed by other applications and many other new and more advanced features that are available on the software.
