We are excited to announce the 10th international ICM+ Advanced Neuromonitoring Workshop, to be held this year on the 26th October in Punta del Este, Maldonado, Uruguay, as a satellite event of the International Symposium on Intracranial Pressure and Brain Monitoring ICP 2025 meeting: https://icp2025.org

This one-day hands-on workshop continues a tradition of global knowledge exchange, with past events held in Cambridge (UK), the USA, China, India, South Africa, Germany, Poland—and now, for the first time, in Latin America.

Participation is open to all, and while registration is managed through the ICP 2025 platform, attendance at the main congress is not required. As always, we’ve kept the fee to a minimum to cover venue costs. Please note: spaces are limited and non-refundable.

What to Expect

The workshop will cover the full neuromonitoring data lifecycle, from bedside data collection to research analytics, including:

1. Data Acquisition

  • Configuring high-resolution data acquisition pipelines
  • Streaming and integrating data from various bedside monitors, annotating data in real time and offline
  • Storing and archiving the data in a homogeneous structure

2. Data Curation, Exploration, and Analysis

  • Browsing, auditing, summarising monitoring data
  • Configuring ICM+ for calculating derived indices of cerebral autoregulation and ICP dynamics
  • Macros use and Python plugin integration

3. Interpretation & Clinical Context

  • Case-based analysis of complex multimodal monitoring scenarios
  • Linking physiology to clinical decision-making

4. Big Data & Batch Workflows

  • Automated analysis of large datasets, patient level summaries extraction
  • Period-by-period summaries, event-oriented analysis

Practical Information

  • Participants work in small groups using their own laptops
  • Virtual desktops will be provided for non-Windows users
  • All exercises are designed with a clinical/research question in mind
  • A pre-event survey will tailor content to participant experience levels
  • Participants will work within groups of their level (example: beginners, experienced…)

Join us for this special occasion in Uruguay and be part of a growing international community dedicated to high-resolution cerebral monitoring.

We look forward to welcoming both returning and new participants.
